Allied BioScience Signs Contract with SOCOMORE to Manufacture SurfaceWise2™ for North American and Global Market
DALLAS (Nov. 03, 2020) — Allied BioScience has signed a contract manufacturing agreement with SOCOMORE to manufacture SurfaceWise2™ through SOCOMORE’s wholly-owned, Texas-based subsidiary.
Dysol has a long history in North American aerospace manufacturing, supplying original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities with proprietary products including specialty coatings, critical cleaning solvents, airframe shims and an extensive line of surface preparation products, manufactured to AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
“We are delighted to announce our strategic partnership with Allied BioScience to support the manufacture and delivery of this game-changing product,” said Andrew Leech, President of Dysol. “This opportunity allows us to leverage our world-class manufacturing capability while aligning with Allied BioScience in our common goal to provide sustainable solutions that make a difference in people’s daily lives.”
The partnership follows the initial EPA approval of SurfaceWise2 in late August for use by American Airlines and a Texas-based sport and spine clinic to continuously protect against COVID-19 on surfaces. Dysol will initially manufacture and distribute SurfaceWise2 to Allied BioScience’s Texas-based customers as the company works closely with the EPA to expand approval for broader, national use.
“We are proud to partner with SOCOMORE and Dysol and trust them to manufacture the first and only continuously active antiviral surface coating approved by the EPA for use in Texas,” said Michael Ruley, CEO, Allied BioScience. “They bring vast experience in surface preparation, treatment and protection as we continue bringing SurfaceWise2 to market to provide additional protection against COVID-19 and other viruses and bacteria.”
SurfaceWise2 has undergone rigorous reviews, determining the product carries the lowest toxicity rating by the EPA and ensuring it is very safe for humans, even in enclosed spaces. The solution is non-toxic, non-irritating, odorless and contains no chemicals that produce harmful vapors or gases.
SurfaceWise2 is intended for use in tandem with other safety measures, including regular cleaning, wearing masks, and proper social distancing. However, it replaces the need for constant COVID-style deep cleans, allowing facilities to return to more typical, pre-COVID cleaning schedules, making it much more efficient to keep high-traffic facilities safe.
